Bruno Duchene, La Luna 2018
Delightfully natty red from an non-interventionist winemaker in the Languedoc. Dark fruit notes of plums, blackberries and blueberries with noticeable barnyard funk well-integrated. A blend of 90% Grenache and 10% Carignan all done whole cluster with 2/3 in vats and 1/3 in used oak. Vines are 40 to 50 years old. Great with a range of cuisine from lentils to lamb but exceptional with duck.
