60% Grenache Noir, 35% Syrah and 5% Cinsault.
Purple-tinged garnet in color. Aromas of fresh blackcurrant and blackberry. Full bodied with smooth tannins. The finish has touches of liquorice and pepper.
The winery was established in 1826 in the Northern part of Chateauneuf du Pape. The winery now consists of 40 acres in Chateauneuf du Pape, 50 acres in Lirac, and 75 acres of Cotes du Rhone vines. The Cote du Rhone's soils are mainly alluvial clay-limestone, sand, and clay. Alain Jaume and his son Christophe make the wine and his other son also works for the winery. They work the vines in accordance with certified organic agricultural practices andstrive to let the terrior be expressed in their wines.
