85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petite Verdot

Chris Brockway has developed a bit of a cult following as a winemaker and this wine shows why. It's made with native yeast and spends 18 months in neutral French Oak barrels. The grapes come from the Margarita Vineyard which sits 1000 feet above the Pacific Ocean. The elevation and maritime exposure provide more acidity and minerality than you may expect from a California Cab, while the small berries provide mild tannins. This wine can go with roasted chicken as well as a grilled rib-eye steak.
