Garzon, Pinot Noir Rose 2019
100% Pinot Noir
Delicate pale salmon in color with aromas of strawberries and raspberries, notes of cherries and minerality dominate the crisp palate with fresh acidity.
The estate-grown grapes are harvested and sorted by hand. After two days of maceration the juice is fermented in temperature control stainless-steel tanks for two weeks, then left on lees for 3-6 months on lees before blending and bottling.
Bodega Garzón is a family-owned winery in Maldonado on the Atlantic coast in southern Uruguay. Wine Enthusiast gave them the ‘New World Winery of the Year’ award 2018. The vineyards are a patchwork quilt of a thousand small .2 hectare plots on terraces that allow gravity to make things more efficient. The stunning winery is the first sustainable, LEED certified (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) winery outside North America.
