Longavi Glup Chenin Blanc 2018
Valle De Colchagua, Chile
Longavi wines is a collaboration between two famous and multi-award winning winemaking friends from different continents, Chilean producer Julio Bouchon and South African winemaker David Nieuwoudt who teamed up in 2012 to produce wines in Chile's Leyda Valley. The Glup wines are a project which showcases the best of the terroir. Made with native yeasts, aged naturally in an 'amphora' for 6 months on lees and skins, the wine expresses pure fruit flavors but in an oxidative style. It is bottled without stabilization, finning or filtration. Notes of beeswax, white flowers and grapefruit dominate the palate here, yielding a very intriguing wine that is true to its grape varietal and gorgeous in texture. Sustainable. Low sulfites.
