Pedro holds a Ph.D. in terroir from the Paris Center of Agriculture, and has shared his knowledge as a consultant for many wineries in multiple countries, and is a leading figure of the “New Chile” movement.
The wine comes from a selection of dry-farmed vineyards in the same village in Itata with granite soils. it's fermented with 30% whole cluster and native yeasts.
País (aka “Mission”) arrived in Chile as raisins on-board Spanish ships in the 1600s to make wine for Catholic mass. Some of these vineyards still survive today.
