Orealios Gaea, San Gerasimo, Robola of Cephalonia 2019
Omala Valley, Cephalonia Island, Greece
This island white benefits from the high altitude and rockiness of the vineyards on Mt Ainos and the fresh air from the Ionian Sea. The low-growing vines are very low yield. The grapes are grown by a co-op of small farmers and the wine is made at the base of the mountain near the San Gerasimo Monastary.
The wine is complex with grapefruit acidity and honeyed floral aromas.
